Applying Brooks Proofide during the break-in period to soften and condition the leather, helping it conform naturally while maintaining its strength and integrity

Regular treatment also helps preserve the saddle's appearance and performance for years of riding.

How to Care for Your Brooks Leather Saddle

For the best results:

• Apply a small amount of Brooks Proofide to the smooth, finished top surface of the leather.
• Allow the conditioner to absorb fully until dry.
• Buff the surface with a soft cloth to restore its natural finish.
• Apply a thin coat to the underside of the saddle and leave it unpolished to help protect against moisture and dirt.

During the initial break-in period, apply Proofide several times as needed. Once the saddle has settled in, reapply every 3–6 months, depending on your riding conditions and climate.

Before your first ride, Brooks also recommends polishing the saddle with a soft cloth after the initial application
